According to the CDC, preventative health care is one of the most important strategies for avoiding chronic diseases that affect about 60% of U.S. adults. Proper nutrition plays an important role in the broad picture of preventative health. If we don't consume the vital nutrients that our bodies need, we aren't doing everything we can to prevent chronic disease.

For women, essential nutritional needs evolve as our lives evolve, and that’s where Binto enters the picture. Binto is an online supplement provider that focuses on women’s health. They aim to facilitate affordable and convenient access to preventative supplements, so that fewer women develop significant health problems.

Why you should trust us

Innerbody Research recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary online. Over the past two decades, we have helped tens of millions of readers make more informed decisions involving staying healthy and living healthier lifestyles.

We extensively test each health service we review. We try our best to give you, our readers, an unbiased exploration of at-home health services, free of marketing jargon or gimmicks. We evaluate the service based on our adherence to quality, the latest medical evidence and health standards, and a simple question: would we buy the product or service ourselves if it weren’t part of our job, and would we recommend it to family and friends?

Additionally our reviews of Binto, like all health-related content on this website, are thoroughly vetted by one or more members of our Medical Review Board for accuracy.

What does Binto do?

Founded in 2015 by women’s health nurse Suzie Welsh, Binto provides each customer with a unique combination of natural daily supplements to support her own specific needs in her particular stage of female health. Binto's personalized approach allows the company to tailor its supplements for support during various life stages. Binto presents the following stages:

  • The period years -- wellness support from your first period till your last period
  • Fertility -- years of peak fertility when you may try to conceive
  • Pregnancy -- specific portions of time when you're pregnant and need proper prenatal nutrition
  • Postpartum -- the roughly 1-year period following pregnancy
  • Menopause and perimenopause -- a phase of life leading up to and including menopause

Binto's supplements include vitamins, minerals, prebiotics, probiotics and antioxidants. The supplements are not only aimed at reproductive health, but take a holistic approach in order to promote:

  • Comprehensive daily nutrition
  • Hormone balance
  • Skin health
  • Digestive health
  • Good energy levels
  • Restful sleep

With Binto, the specific combination of supplements tailored for your personal needs is sent to you automatically every month in the form of individual daily packets that are easy to take with you on the go.

How Binto works

The sign-up process with Binto is based on a questionnaire that takes around 5 minutes to complete. You enter your date of birth and email address, and answer questions about your health, after which you'll get instant access to your recommended supplement list and can see how much the monthly cost for your kit will be.

A nurse will review any additional health information you shared in the questionnaire and then adapt your recommended supplements if necessary. If there are any components of the supplement list that you want to remove -- either because you are already taking it, don’t want to take it, or want to try and keep the cost down -- you can remove the ingredient(s) from the pack with the click of a button.

By signing up and making your first order, you are subscribed for monthly repeats, paid for by credit card. As your needs change, you can update the Binto nurse staff and discuss adjustments to your supplement combination. You can also pause your orders for up to six months or close your account at any time.

myBINTO supplements

Personalized supplements packets are Binto’s main products, tailored to your individual needs. The supplement kits are shipped to your home automatically each month based on your subscription, so you don’t have to worry about running out or ordering more.

They come in handy packets for each day and are marked with your name and a health tip, to give a personal touch. There are 31 daily doses in each kit, as well as fact cards and recipe cards.

Customers report that the individual packets make it easy to remember to take the supplements every day; Binto has a system for returning all packaging to them for recycling, which helps to reduce the environmental footprint. In the future Binto aims to transition to 100% compostable packaging.

Available myBINTO supplements include:

  • Bare Essentials
  • Synbiotic
  • Vitamin D
  • Zinc
  • B12
  • B6
  • Essential Prenatal
  • Women’s Complete
  • Prenatal Plus
  • Digest-ease
  • DHEA
  • DHA
  • NAC
  • CoQ10
  • Folate (methylated)
  • DHA Fish Oil

Binto demonstrates that they're clearly conscious of taking both an ethical and evidence-based approach. They focus on areas where women tend to fall short from dietary sources and can absorb well from supplements, rather than fulfilling every recommended daily allowance with compounds that won’t be retained within the body.

This means that Binto’s ingredients are sometimes different from other supplements -- for instance, using methylated folate instead of the more readily available commercial folate in order to ensure proper absorption. Some of their supplements also include herbal medicines -- such as peppermint and ginger in the prenatal vitamins, providing some relief from morning sickness along with the nutritional requirements for this health stage.

Binto selects their ingredients carefully, sourcing from around the world and then bringing them together for manufacture in the US. Their supplements check all of the boxes for being free of gluten, preservative, filler and animal products, and are GMP-certified.

myBINTO prices

Costs for the supplement kits depend on your individual combination, but prices start at $20 per month and should be no more than $50 per month. Binto sometimes offers discounts; for instance, they’re currently offering 20% off with a discount code. Binto also has a referral system in which you can get $10 credit if you refer a friend through your personal referral code; in this case, your friend also gets $10 off her first order. A proportion of Binto’s profits from the supplement subscriptions are used to support the Maternity Care Coalition.

One-time purchases

Starter Kit

If you want to try the Binto supplement system, but don’t want to sign up for a subscription -- or if you want to gift Binto to a friend -- Binto offers a non-personalized starter kit. This kit is not tailored to your specific health needs, but comprises the essential multivitamin and probiotic. The cost for a one-month supply is $35.

Glow Down

Glow Down is a powdered drink containing a range of minerals to help you wind down for bed. The drink should be made with water and taken in the evenings to help you wind down and sleep better. It costs $22 for one-month’s supply. Though this is a popular product, it can't currently be added to a monthly subscription at this time; Glow Down is only available in single purchases.

Belly Oil and Nursing Balm

Through the Binto website it is also possible to purchase Clary Collection herbal remedies for skin healing, particularly aimed at relieving the skin symptoms associated with pregnancy and postpartum. The belly oil is $33 per bottle, and the nursing balm is $25 per 2oz tin.

Specialist consultations

You can get free online chat support with a Binto nurse whenever you need it -- an excellent added value for customers. But additionally you can book an online consultation with licensed healthcare providers to discuss a particular aspect of your health.

The consultations available are:

  • Fertility consult ($50 for 30 minutes)
  • Health consult ($30 for 30 minutes)
  • Lactation consult ($120 for 60 minutes) or follow up ($80 for 30 minutes)
  • Nutrition consult ($120 for 60 minutes) or follow up ($80 for 30 minutes)
  • Postpartum consult ($50 for 30 minutes)
  • Prenatal consult ($50 for 30 minutes)

Booking a consultation is very straightforward, and you don’t even need an account with Binto to get started. Simply click on the date and choose the type of consult and the specialist you would like to talk to. You can see the names and qualifications of the different specialists at this stage. When you have selected the specialists you’d prefer for consultation, Binto shows you their available consulting times from which to choose. Once you make your selection and pay by credit card, your appointment is all set.

Health education

Binto runs online health information classes each month, led by a Binto specialist, on topics including prenatal education, infant nutrition and childbirth education. The prenatal and nutrition sessions are one hour long and cost $50, while the childbirth course comprises two one-hour sessions and costs $100. The prices are per person or per couple, giving partners the freedom and flexibility to attend the course together for no extra cost.

Binto also runs live educational events on Instagram at regular intervals discussing topical material such as women’s health during COVID-19 and sexual health awareness month.

At Binto's website, you can find free downloadable ebooks and educational videos on a variety of women’s health topics including endometriosis, IVF and menopause.

How we evaluate health products and services

At Innerbody Research, we customize our evaluation criteria depending on the type and nature of the health-related service. For health-related products and services, we have five areas that we use for our evaluations, including:

Quality: How well does the company deliver its core service(s) and product(s) to the customer? For testing services, does the company adhere to the latest and most advanced testing technologies and achieve a very high degree of accuracy? For non-testing telehealth services, is the quality of the service and/or product high enough that we would recommend it to loved ones without hesitation? If not, why not?

User-friendly: How intuitive and user-friendly is the product and/or service? Does it achieve a good degree of user-friendliness for its customers?

Value: Are you getting your money’s worth? Are there any hidden costs or charges? Does the company offer discounts?

Privacy: If health data is stored, will your data be stored securely? Are payments secure?

Customer support: Particularly in situations where ‘one size fits all’ doesn’t make sense, how well does the company help to make the service ideal for you?
