Heather received her M.S. and B.S. in Food Science and Technology, with a concentration in Food Microbiology, from Texas A&M University. She spent the first part of her career in the lab as a microbiologist. Heather eventually merged her love of science, language, and grammar into a role as a scientific editor. She enjoys taking a deep dive into research and learning about the latest advances in science and healthcare.
Heather usually spends her downtime doing something with music – whether listening to it, watching it live, or playing it at home with her family of musicians. She also loves watching baseball, volunteering with her son’s orchestra, and hanging out with her small white dog, affectionately known as “Crazy Maisie.”
