Kate is a writer for Innerbody Research, focusing on the areas of diagnostic tests and mental health.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Kate has over a decade of experience as a small animal and exotic pet veterinarian. Kate is also a qualified Mental Health First Aider with a special interest in mental health in the workplace. Since 2016, she has served as the head of operations at Borneo Nature Foundation. Kate has also worked as a veterinarian at an orangutan rehabilitation center in Borneo.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Kate earned her VetMB degree from Cambridge University in 2007. Her studies focused on "One Health," the intersection between the environment, animal populations, and the human race. She has a background in clinical research related to disease transmission and diagnostic testing.

PERSONAL

In 2004, Kate volunteered as a coordinator in The Orangutan Tropical Peatland Project. She continues to act as a voluntary Veterinary Advisor for several orangutan rescue charities. In her spare time, Kate loves to write and review pet advice content to ensure that pet parents are receiving the best possible information.
