Sphenoidal Fontanelle

The sphenoidal fontanelle, also called the sphenoid fontanel, is a membranous area in between a newborn’s cranial bones. It can be found in between the sphenoid, parietal, temporal, and frontal bones; it closes at about three months after birth.
