The intercostal nodes (also intercostal lymph nodes or intercostal glands) are components of the lymphatic system located within the body's intercostal spaces. Found behind the intercostal vessels, the intercostal nodes drain the posterior portion of the thoracic cavity through the posterior mediastinal lymph nodes, with the efferent lymphatics on the right side draining to the right lymphatic duct and the left side draining into the thoracic duct.
