Superior Colliculus

The superior colliculus is one of a pair of rounded elevations that form most of the optic lobe. Available information indicates that the optic tectum is a center for the integration of sight, hearing and other environmental stimuli so that appropriate reactive movements of the head, eyes, and body can be made.
