Temporal Lobes

The temporal lobe lies below the frontal lobe of the cerebral hemisphere and is separated from it by a shallow groove, known as the "lateral sulcus". Its sensory areas are responsible for hearing. Its association areas are used in the interpretation of sensory experiences and in the memory of visual scenes, music and other complex sensory patterns.
