Parietal Lobes
The parietal lobe is located just behind the frontal lobe in the
cerebral hemisphere and is separated from it by a shallow groove, called
the "central sulcus" (sometimes known as the "Fissure of Rolando"). Its
sensory regions are responsible for the sensations of temperature, touch,
pressure, and pain from the skin. Its association areas function in
understanding speech and in using words to express thoughts and feelings.
