Pectineus Muscle

The pectineus is a flat, quadrangular muscle, situated at the front part of the upper and middle part of the thigh. It arises from the pectin pubis (called the "pectineal line") and, to some extent, from the surface of the bone just in front of it. Some fiber also comes from the tissue covering the front surface of the muscle itself. The pectineus muscle flexes and moves the thigh toward the body and rotates it toward the center.
