Grafting
"Grafting" is the process of transplanting healthy tissue from one part
of the body to another, from one person to another, or from an animal to a
person. Grafting is used to repair or replace diseased or defective
tissue. The primary tissues which are transplanted are the skin, bone,
bone marrow, the cornea of the eye, the kidney, heart, the liver, the
heart valves, blood vessels and nerves.
