Cortical Nodule (Follicle) of Lymph Node

The cortical nodule (follicle) of the lymph node is a closely-packed grouping of lymphocytes. The lymph follicles change in number, arrangement, and size depending upon the condition of the lymph node - for example, they grow larger or increase in number when exposed to an unknown antigen.
