About this test
About this test
Who should take this test
This test measures your anti-Müllerian hormone levels (also known as AMH), which can provide an insight into your ovarian reserve (your remaining eggs in your ovaries). Persons with ovaries are born with the total number of eggs they'll ever have, so by measuring your AMH, you get an indication of how many eggs you have left in your ovaries.
You should consider taking this test if:
- You are interested in learning more about your ovarian reserve (an indicator of how many eggs you have) -You are interested in learning more about fertility insights related to your hormones - You are working with your healthcare provider and want to know more about how you might respond to treatments such as IVF or egg-freezing. It's important to note that the LetsGetChecked ovarian reserve test cannot tell you the exact number of eggs you have left, or provide confirmation of egg quality or related fertility questions that you might have. The reference ranges for AMH are provided by the laboratory and will vary depending on your age. Further interpretation of your results by a healthcare provider will be required. A healthcare provider will be able to provide further context on your result, based on your individual situation. We do not advise you to delay trying to get pregnant on the basis of an Ovarian Reserve Test result. We encourage you to engage in further testing and conversation with your healthcare provider(s) as part of an overall fertility assessment. Also, please note that this ovarian reserve test can only be taken between the ages of 18 and 55 (inclusive), as we cannot provide results to those outside of this age range.
When to test
It’s important to know that AMH levels can be impacted if you have been taking hormonal contraceptives within the last three months. If you are on hormonal contraceptives, talk to a healthcare provider for further guidance about the most suitable testing options for you. You should collect your sample in the morning, on a Monday-Friday. You don't need to worry about collecting your sample at a particular time of the month; your sample can be collected at any time during your menstrual cycle.
What's measured
Anti-müllerian hormone (AMH)
AMH is a hormone produced by the follicles (small sacs filled with fluid) in your ovaries. AMH performs a key role in influencing your menstrual cycle and reproductive health. Higher levels of AMH mean that the ovaries have a larger supply of eggs. As you age, the number of eggs decreases, which will in turn cause your AMH levels to decrease. At menopause, no eggs are left, and AMH levels drop to zero.

Great instruction and very fast service. My readings came back the same day you recieved the package. that's been the case now with all 3 of the hormone tests I've done.
This was my first time on which I ordered the female hormone tests and I will definitely take advantage of other health tests. Highly recommended but specially for people with hectic/busy schedules.
100% would use LetsGetChecked again...they give you everything you need to draw the blood...Very clear, straightforward report.
I had an ovary reserve test and hormone test done...1/10 of the price of what it would cost at a doctor’s office...Highly recommend.
Wow I’m so impressed at how fast and easy the entire process was. I received my results within about 48hrs and detailed explanation and level of each hormone that was tested. 5 stars

I got tests done for female fertility...results came back quickly...really happy with their services...I liked the fact that it was removed from the rigmarole of making an appointment with my doctor...
The service was professional, good value and easy to use. The results were quick. I was expecting to see more detail in my results but basically it gives you an indication of fertility.
