Trochlea

The term "trochlea" comes from the Greek "trochileia," or pulley. A trochlea is an anatomical feature found in the shoulders (where the distal end of the humerus and ulna articulate), eye orbits, and thighs. Trochleas are defined as having an arc composed of two condyli, where the arc allows for movement about a transverse axis; much like a pulley.
