Bodybuilding,
which continues to grow in popularity even among teenagers,
is a sport that has been around since ancient times. While bodybuilders
enjoy many benefits of this discipline, such as decreased body
fat and increased muscle definition, there are many
dangers to avoid. In order to build muscle mass successfully
without incurring injuries, bodybuilders must maintain a balance
of adequate nutrition, hydration, cardiovascular exercise, and
lifting. At the same time, they must stretch before hand to avoid
straining or tearing muscles, as well as make sure to use the
proper technique so that they don't rip or pull their muscles.
Another aspect of bodybuilding, which is all too often overlooked,
is the warm-up. An inadequate warmup can also increase one's
chances of pulling or tearing muscles. In order to ensure the
body has the nutrients necessary to build the desired muscle
mass, bodybuilders often take supplements.
These have added protein, carbohydrates, and other nutriends
essential for their strenuous workouts and weight gain. |
