Lawyers and Law Offices

Lawyers and other law professionals need to have a firm understanding of the legal systems and procedures in the U.S. courts. They may specialize in a certain area of law as well, such as business law, civil rights, criminal law and more. There are many legal assistants, such as paralegals, who play a vital role in assisting lawyers. Besides a lawyer or attorney, other law careers include a hearings officer, assistant prosecutor, paralegal and law clerk.
