Federal Agents

Federal agents are highly trained professionals who work for the U.S. government. People who pursue federal agent careers must be intelligent, aware of local and foreign law enforcement as well as focused and detail oriented. Some federal agent careers include a CIA agent, FBI agent, U.S. Marshal and ATF agent. Federal agents enforce U.S. laws and regulations and often work together with other local law enforcement officers. There are several types of federal agent careers from which you can choose. All of them have positive job outlooks because the country will always need these individuals to help keep the country safe. Many of the individuals who work federal agent jobs may first start out working in law enforcement.

The requirements for becoming a federal agent are a criminal justice degree and law enforcement training specific to the career you want to pursue.
