Lymph Vessels

Afferent lymphatic vessels carry lymph into the node through one-way valves where it is circulated through sinuses into the cortical tissue. Lymph leaves the node through the efferent (one-way) lymphatic vessels, which emerges from the hilus, a depression on the concave side of the node.
