Effort is a technical term of mechanical physics that measures the amount of energy applied to move something through resistance. Effort defines how fast we move and how much weight we can act upon. We can do so because the connections between joints, called synovial joints, are fulcrums, the bones they connect are levers, and the muscles attached to them apply force (or resistance) so that the muscle performs the work through our effort.
